The only living volcano in Costa Rica where you can walk around a secondary crater, see and feel the smoke coming out of boiling muddy cauldrons and steam vents. This volcano is known for its sulfur springs, fumaroles and bubbling mud pots, stands at 6,653 feet high and is the highest peak in the Guanacaste mountains.
Relax in the hot springs, enjoy the volcanic mud. A 20-minute tractor-drawn wagon ride will take us to the starting point of this unique private reserve surrounded by incredible waterfalls and nature, a 45-minute medium-relaxing hike visiting 4 different waterfalls walking on wobbly bridges.
